Dinosaurs

There are a few days each month that I can guarantee a little relaxing time, a couple hours of work or perhaps a day to run around Wichita and get all of my errands done without the boys. Grandma and Grandpa E. have taken the boys almost every Friday for the past couple of months. It is amazing to me how many of my friends have parents here in Wichita that take advantage of them on a daily basis some good some too much in my opinion!

I think Grandparents are supposed to be a great treat for a kid something fun to look forward to, someone who spoils them to pieces when mom and dad aren't looking and then sends them home at the end of the day when they possibly could be on a sugar high! Since I have had kids I have never had a set day that the boys were taken care of. It is so nice to have a little break 3 to 4 times a month. I think Nick maybe wishes sometimes it was Saturdays so we could have a day out together (we might have to switch it up one of these weeks).

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa E. headed to the lake late Thursday night so we planned a family outing to the Wichita Garden Show on Sunday afternoon when they returned to see the Jurassic Park exhibit, especially since Lunden is obsessed with dinosaurs. It was so cool, but I will say this wouldn't have been as neat if we didn't have a little boy that was so pumped all weekend to go see the dinosaurs. You will only understand this if you have a little boy that loves dinosaurs!

Lunden could barley concentrate for a family picture because he was so obsessed with the Brontosaurus above him.

Don't worry Bronx knows pretty much all of the dinosaurs as well, he may not be able to talk yet, but Lunden has taught him all the names to each one!
